One of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had..The pasta was cooked to perfection and so creamy and delicious. The restaurant is very small but cozy. Need to go back here ASAP!!

Ambience: the restaurant looks and feels so historic. I really loved the art by the front door. Service : our host was so warm and knowledgeable and told us exactly what to order and how much to order. We even got more than planned cuz he was so sweet Food : 10/10. Got a few appetizers - artichoke, whipped feta, olives. And got a pizza + pasta cannoli. It was all soooooo good!!! The smoked mozzarella was really yummy in the pasta. The best part was obviously the bread, which was homemade focaccia ????

Upon arriving, the hostess was very friendly and was able to move our reservation with no problem; the food we got was unbelievably delicious and something my girlfriend and I have never had before. Whenever we’re back in the area, we will be back!

Everything here was amazing! Food and service was top tier and super good atmosphere, go check them out!

We’re in here 12yrs ago. Now this place is more popular. Lunch meal price is great and soup or salad included. The noodles texture are really good. Highly recommend. Pizza also great! Definitely come back later.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, staff is attentive and engaging, and the menu is incredibly balanced. Servings are proportionate and the tastes are incredible. The seafood is fresh, sauces are savory, flavorful, lite, and complex. This unassuming and low key location will impress you with chill vibes and authentic cuisine. Great experience all-around. Cheers.

Amazing service and great food. Small but inviting. Prices were also reasonable. Highly recommended.

Good Italian restaurant near the NYU area. I enjoyed the squid ink pasta and flan dessert. Staff was attentive. Don't think you need a reservation on weekdays.

I got the Tortellini Parmigiana (cheese filled pasta, cream sauce, peas & prosciutto). The sauce was a bit heavy after a few bites, but still loved the flavors!! The cream has a bit of a citrusy flavor, and if you don't like cheese... don't order this! Lunch special was such a good deal! $13.95 for soup OR salad + a pasta/main entree! For SOHO, that's insane :) Servers were very friendly and I was seated quickly with a reservation. A great solo dining spot, as they have a couple of tables for 2 facing the street. Happy people watching!

Where Il Corallo lacks in ambience, it makes up for in flavor and price. The service was a bit lacking but very enthusiastic--we had a large party of eight without a reservation, and they accommodated us the best they could outside by putting two tables together. However, we did have to ask for bread, which was on the drier side and definitely not gourmet, but it did the trick. The rigatoni padani with sausage had delicious homemade pasta in a thick and creamy tomato sauce. The mozzarella was incredibly savory and stretchy, there was plenty of sausage, and the pasta was perfectly al dente. Flavor was on par with Bar Primi, but at a lower price point and with a more casual ambience. Note: after eating pasta in Italy, I can assuredly say that Il Corallo was miles better both in terms of pasta quality and flavor.
